Now, this in my opinion, couldn't possible get ANY cooler, it's freaking amazing. Kolipoki, has finally finished the awesome TS3 Magic mod which allows you to have your sims casting spells all about town. Now there is more to it then just that, your sims also work away at their skill and will be able to cast more spells, eventually reaching a master wizard!
Now, this mod is still quite experimental, though, I myself haven't experienced any problems with it, you might, so be sure to backup game files before installing this, and have fun!
So I thought it was time to close the old poll and put up a new one. But before we get to that, here are the results of the previous poll:
I Love it! - 118 I like it. - 61 It's ok. - 33 Terrible! - 32 I don't really like it. - 18
Now these are some pretty good results. My guess is the people who voted "Terrible!" are using IE to view this site, I say this because, I agree, this site in IE, is, terrible! Here's a picture of it:
Anyways, now for the new poll - The Sims 3 Ambitions, Will you Buy it?
Well seeing as The Sims 3 Ambitions was announced I decided to do a few things to the site. First off, I organised the drop down menus more now, so there is a category title and then the links under it, just check under the user links tab .
Secondly, and much more awesomely, I've added a gallery to the site, which can be found under the "About" menu. So far it only has Sims 3 Ambitions pictures however I'll be adding more as time goes on, for now, you can check it out here: http://thesimsupply.com/mygal.php
It's just been announced that the next expansion for The Sims 3 is going to be called Sims 3 Ambitions. With this EP, you'll get new careers that require more in depth game play. Instead of sending your sims to fall down a rabbit hole while at work, you actually direct what your sims does while at work. Like, if your ambition is to be a doctor, you can go around and make house calls or treat patients at the hospital. It's sorta like World Adventures, but career style!
I've create two new tutorials which teach you how to mesh using The Sims Resource Workshop RC4 (latest version). I only decided to make this tutorial now, as everything that needs to function correctly to make objects compatible with .package files works now, and it works great!
So check out the tutorials by clicking the image above
Hey guys, Flabaliki here, just thought I'd let you all know we have 5 brand new tutorials, including some REALLY cool things I didn't even know about :O
It's been rumored that EA is planning to release a console version of The Sims 3 sometime between July and September of this year. There will be versions for TV consoles, as well as handhelds.
I have not seen any official confirmations on this subject, but I wouldn't put it past EA.
I personally think console games suck because you can't really mod them. And the iPhone version of TS3 was a major disappointment, as well. Unless EA comes up with some massive online multiplayer version, I probably won't bother buying it.
Well, January went fast didn't it? So here we are, February 2010, with the new Stuff Pack recently released, a new background on the site, and the DL has officially closed. Wow, January was a boring month.
Anyways, We've also got a few new Video Tutorials, may I remind you, ANYONE can upload video tutorials, if you just use the Upload Items function (it doesn't matter if you post in The Sims 2 or The Sims 3), just put a link to your youtube video (must have vocal instructions, no subtitles) inside [youtube] tags, this will make it an embedded video. Then just upload a thumbnail with it, and you're set for approval
I've also added the requirements icon for High-End Loft stuff, so you can upload content that requires it now.
One more thing, we have a new team member here, Daluved1, you may also know her as a moderator over at Mod The Sims, she's a really cool person, you should get to know here
So, what have you guys done in your first month of 2010, anything interesting?
Can you believe it? It's been 10 years since the original Sims 1 game hit the shelves on February 4th, 2000. For those of us old enough to have played Sims 1 when it first came out (or simply fortunate to have played it at all), this day brings back nostalgic memories of the cute, jerky movements of Bob and Betty Newbie. Oh yes, a time when Sims had no finger animations, the same meal was eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and dancing consisted of shooting their arms in the air and rocking from side to side. Good times, right?
What's even more astonishing is that during the game's development, a lot of people thought the Sims would be a failure. However, it proved the neigh-sayers wrong by becoming one of the top selling PC games in history. In fact, the three major installments of The Sims, and their expansions and add-ons, have brought in more than $2.5 billion in revenues, with more than 125 million copies sold to date. The series sold it's 100,000,000 copy less than two years ago.
The Sims have come along way from their original 2D sprite world, to the beautiful 3D masterpieces of Sims 2 and Sims 3. With no major competition to stop it, the Sims franchise is expected to thrive well into the future. And I for one can't wait to see what they come up with next.
And now, for your viewing enjoyment, The Sims 3 Tenth Anniversary Special.
Really, what are you doing EA? Well anyways, Bart Smit retail giant has confirmed that The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions is on their list, set for a release of June 4, exactly one year after the release of The Sims 3.
Now, this is where my rant starts... *gearing up*
Quote:Omg, this is hilarious. EA absolutely fails beyond belief at making names for expansions and stuff packs! Like, High End Loft Stuff…. what in the world is that. Now we may possibly have Hobbies & Professions, you gotta be kidding.
Now, if this -is- the next expansion I’ll only buy it if it has the following:
Weather… where the heck did that disappear off to?
Weather… where the heck did that disappear off to?
Actual community locations, bowling, restaurants, discos, SHOPS, not rabbitholes, there is NOTHING to do in The Sims 3.
Some sort of Superstar aspect <- Best expansion ever! Along with Makin' Magic
I can't think of any other conditions at the moment, but if this expansion misses those core aspects then EA are real jackasses.
Well that was a fun rant eh?
PS. Oh and one more thing!! I’m LOVING the release date of Sims 3 games, The Sims 3 was released on June 4… my birthday and if this trend follows and the expansion is released on June 4, awesome, my birthday again!
Before we get -too- angry (it's a bit late for me), this is all subject to change as Bart Smit aren't EA, they don't call the shots on The Sims, the name could change, the content could change, but as for now, this is what is to be expected.
Tell me what your thoughts (hopefully pissy) are on this.
