CAW to In-Building Issue

Okay. So:
I finally got my world built for the most part. It too patience, certainly. I'm barely pleased with it.
So, I go to the "edit in game" option to make with the building.
I can't get within a mile of a lot without it fading to blue. I can't edit from that far away, its just not going to work.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Does anyone else know why this is happening?
Does anyone know how to stop it from happening?

I'm Kristen and I LOVE The Sims 3, and TheSimSupply (YouTube) well I guess almost everybody here does...my favorite part of The Sims 3 is building houses because I love how unique each one is. I soon hope to use CAW (Create-a-World) and go even further with creativity and design options. I sadly only have the base game, no expansion packs or store items (except Riverview and some stuff that came with downloaded houses) but I do have Outdoor Living Stuff sitting around after my old computer broke and I never re-installed it...better get on that...anyways, my username on thesims3.com is Kristen_Brenn8 (I'm transferring soon to a different one) and my YouTube is TheSims3Kristen! My favorite simmers are TheCurtisParadisShow (go curtis ;D) and Chrillsims3 (christian ( I hope to maybe post some of my creations on here very soon...if I can, or if I can figure it out that is...Happy Simming!

hi I just started playing sims in june of last year i think. a friend in NYC at filetopia sent me a double deluxe disc and i was Hooked! Shes been playing over 10 years and I've taught her a few tricks.

Ok, I stumbled on the Sims Social on FB, enjoyed it, especially considering all its many flaws ans crashed. My daugher, who is a Sim player from Sim 1 on bugged me to check out TS3. Addicted - there are so many levels to enjoy, despite the constant crashes, bad download stuff, and difficulty trying to learn all this new stuff - but I still really am having a great time....
And I love this site, and those that are spending time being creative. I hope I can contribute as I learn more.

Hi my simming friends!

I just wanted to let you know I've released a few of my houses. I have chosen not to upload them here because they are *not* CC free, and it's probably a good thing as uploading is going away anyway. Also, one of them, while not strictly boxy, is based on a townhouse model and is therefore basically a rectable with a few pieces jutting out.

This website is closing, not TSS, just the way the site functions at this current point in time.

I will be downsizing the website and server that it is run off. We will be removing user uploaded content as it is a slow moving area of the site, and is not active enough to think about keeping, for now at least, we can always bring it back.

This site will stay up for as long as it takes for the new site to be completed, hopefully should be around a week or two, that depends on how quickly the hosting provider can be set up.

If you have any questions or requests for the new, smaller, TSS, just let me know.

help with a formula to go floor plan of real houses

i have a ? on the sq ft of a floor plan to get it to sims3 sq ft. has any one no the formula to do this plz let me no thank you
in the site that i look up plan of houses they give us the sq ft, w*d all that

hello there am vampire22 on modthesims AKA ladyvicky here and i love this site it break at the build and buy mode down to where u can do thing allot better and that is good for me and new to sims 3 but not to the sims world i have play Sims for a long time sims 1, ps2 (all of them that came out for ps2) and sims 2 and now sims 3 and in this part i love sims u can call me a Sims attic that bad yes but i love them so yea and to the ones that make and did the tut some keep them coming i would like to see more of them am learning allot from u guys

I'm pretty young, I've been playing the Sims when I was 3. People describe me more as death since they think I hate everything I come face to face to. I have a strange fascination about death and is described as "psychotic". My guidance counselor thought I was going to commit suicide. Enough about myself, I love the Sims. Point blank. I just wish they just stop putting horrible effort to make children realistic.

I have been playing the Sims for several years now, and I love it! I started out with The Sims 2 in 6th grade, then bought Sims 3 a little after it was released. I have all (but the pets) expansions for Sims 2 and I have all (but fast lane/outdoor) expansions for the Sims 3. I am a total n00b when it comes to the game (I just figured out how to put mods/cc in the game, and I can't seem to get "Awesome Mod" to work), but I love seeing the work of those who are much more talented than I (I'm a forum stalker). I hope to learn some new things to enrich my game-play experience, and see some awesome creations from other people.
BTW, I love ya'll's tutorials

Ce que j'aime surtout c'est la construction.
Si mon anglais n'est pas terrible c'est normal, j'utilise donc un traducteur. C'est bien connu le français n'est pas doué pour apprendre les langues, moi le premier

Hi

I am a grandmother of three and got hooked on the sims through my grandson. I play to relax. I hope I am not the only one older that plays and I somehow feel I am not. It is relaxing and good therapy for anger management. When someone angers me I make them a character and do something to them like lock them in a house take out the doors and windows and command them to go somewhere. Makes my day when they get all confused. Anyway, this silly old woman gets her laughs out of that. I enjoy making sims and building houses or re-doing the houses I have in the game. That's all for now.
